Jamie Lee Curtis got emotional on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday night while talking about the devastation of the multiple fires raging across Los Angeles.

Earlier in the day, the Oscar winner — who just earned a SAG supporting actress nomination for her performance in “The Last Showgirl” — shared via Instagram that she might lose her home in the Pacific Palisades blaze. “My community and possibly my home is on fire,” she wrote. Later, she updated her followers that her home was still safe.

Curtis was flying to New York for her “Tonight Show” appearance as the fires began to worsen on Tuesday night. “As you know, where I live is on fire right now. The entire city of Pacific Palisades is burning,” she told Fallon. “I flew here last night, I was on the plane, started getting texts and it’s fucking gnarly, you guys. It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California.”

While Curtis acknowledged that there have “been horrific fires in many places,” she said “this is literally where I live.”

“Everything: the market I shop in, the schools my kids go to,” Curtis continued as she teared up. “Many, many, many friends now have lost their homes. So it’s a really awful situation.”

She added that she plans to go home “first thing” on Thursday to “be with my family and try to help my friends.” Curtis also shared ways for “The Tonight Show” viewers to help the cause, including donating to the American Red Cross, for which she is an ambassador.

“Do anything you can, anything in your community to help people. Whether you need it or not now, you will need it,” she said. “Give blood, donate, whatever you can do, animal shelters. And remember, since I’m on the middle of a very big television show, for anyone living anywhere, have an emergency kit in your house.”
