It looks like The Rock was cooking up a crime on the set of his latest movie.

For the wrestler-turned-actor was spotted snatching bags from an actress today for a scene from bodybuilding comedy drama Pain and Gain.

The burly 39-year-old, real name Dwayne Johnson, certainly looked the part as he ripped the carriers from the woman’s hands.

The film, which also stars Ed Harris, Ken Jeong, and Tony Shalhoub, is based on real life Miami Beach bodybuilders who started a kidnapping and extortion ring in the 1990s.

The Michael Bay-helmed picture is based on a 2000 Miami New Times article about a pair of Florida steroid-abusing strongmen who become criminals involved in an extortion ring and a kidnapping plot that goes horribly wrong .

Two members of the real-life Sun Gym Gang ended up receiving death sentences and currently sit on Florida’s death row.

While the Rock was cooking up a storm, Mark Wahlberg and his bodybuilder castmates did not let a little thing like rain get in the way of filming.

The 40-year-old actor has been putting his sinewy, muscular form on heavy display ever since filming began on April 2 .

Mark, whose biceps have grown considerably in the past few months, wore a navy Adidas tracksuit with a light blue tank top underneath.

However, the Boogie Nights star looked out of shape compared to his two darkly-tanned and taut castmates, who had muscles on their muscles.

Both massive men wore tank tops, revealing sculpted pecs and shoulders, and brightly printed Zubaz pants. One bodybuilder barely covered up in an aqua Miami Dolphins tank top and the other wore a black Silverback Krew tank top.

In the film, a pair of Floridian bodybuilders in the ‘Sun Gym Gang’ get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.

The film is based on the true story of steroid-abusing muscle men Daniel Lugo and Adrian Doorbal.

Studio bosses will be hoping the off-beat topic proves to be a hit with the movie-going public.

However it already has a head start, as it has a paltry budget compared to the Transformer directors usual blockbusters.

At $35 million, the film stands as Bay’s lowest budgeted film since his feature film debut, the 1995 action-comedy Bad Boys.

Earlier this week Mark was seen filming stunts for the action film, which included dangling upside down on a wire.

However he also had a stunt double on hand to help with the more precarious scenes.

The action comedy is holding a casting call next Saturday in Doral for locals over 25 to play extras.

According to Variety, the Three Kings star is also currently in talks to star in a new John Grisham adaptation, The Partner, a legal thriller about a young partner in a law firm who fakes his own death for fortune.

Mark will next be seen in Ted, the first live action project to be directed by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, which will be released July 13.
